I'm making quince jam today - I started yesterday with the dicing of the quince. Lemme tell you cutting up 2+ kilos of quince is a time consuming endeavor. It took HOURS. I was remembering my Uzbek neighbors and how all the girls would gather round and help cook - this stuff necessitates either a large family or a lot of time. My wrist is still sore from the slicing.

But the quince is on to boil, hopefully in an hour or so it will be ready to can. [livejournal.com profile] dryadsidhe, this is my last jam project in this state, would you like my spare canning jars?
