R went on a popcorn foray to the exchange yesterday - he came back with like 8 boxes - 2 Pop Secret extra butter, 4 pop secret regular butter, and 2 Shop Rite brand. We now have popcorn for months!

Of course I also sent him for frozen insta-foods like sausage and frozen pizza.....instead he came back with doritos, nutty bars, and chocolate. We kept the chocolate and brought the other stuff back to exchange them for frozen edibles.

Last night we watched the 36 Crazy Fists and had 2 bags of popcorn. Maybe we don't have months' suppy after all :)

I just went to amazon.com to order my older bro. a birthday present (I sent him the piled higher and deeper comic book). Amazon has given their front page to disaster releif and I am so happy that I was able to send of $10 to the red cross even though I'm stuck all the way in UZ. I haven't commented on the quake/tsunami issue because there really aren't any words. I grew up with tsunami warnings throughout my child hood and it appauls me that such a fairly simple system could have saved thousands of lives, but wasn't put in place because of money. My heart goes out to all the families there.

While looking for the book for my brother, I found a book called "how to write your dissertation in 15 minutes a day." It's written by a psychologist and looks like a winner. I should try and acquire it when I get back stateside:
