Well that rehearsal was a doozy! I went at the halfway break and still ended up sitting throuhg 2.5 hours of Uzbek orchestra rehearsal and then having an hour and a half of interview with the director afterward!. The funny thing is that this guy basically took the same stance as the an'anaviy people i know, but in the other direction. It reminds me of the relativist vs. aestheticist debates in musicology. One claims universal beauty, the other relative beauty and never the twain shall meet.
