Why is it that only the classical station understands that I actually want to hear music while I drive to work in the morning? I am amazed that the THREE rock stations that I usually listen to in the car ALL have annoying personality-based talk shows that don't really involve music in the mornings. Is there really research out there saying that the people who usually listen to these stations really want to hear talk radio in the mornings? I was extra annoyed a few months ago when my favorite alternative station went from advertising that their commercial breaks only last 1 minute to having Adam Corrola talk and talk and talk for 3 hours in the morning.

At least there is classical radio, which was playing Handel Concerto Grossi this morning, to my suprise and pleasure.

I'm often aware of the annoyance of having a car with nothing but a radio in it, but if it weren't for classical radio, I would go nuts in the morning.

I got XM Radio when I knew I'd be in a car w/ 2 kids in Montana for 2 weeks. Got hooked on no commercials and lots of choice. When you're solvent again look into it - cheaper than a new car.......

I've heard that sattelite radio is awesome from everyone who has it. And yes, it is cheaper than a new car, though my rust bomb is going to blow soon anyway, so a new car may be had sooner than XM out of necessity.
