Sepulveda dam wildlife reserve

I went for a jog at the wetlands preserve around the sepulveda reservoir right around sunset tonight and it was beautiful! I may not jog very well or very fast, but I was happy to break a sweat and feel my body click into endurance space, plus it was a beautiful and subdued sunset over the mountains. After I finished jogging I stopped near the reservoir to stretch and there were dozens of herons all huddled around and a bunch of other birds that were roosting in a near by tree. It made me think of my grandfather and his affinity for bird watching and the Audobon Society.

Anyway - yay for getting out into nature, even if it was bounded by freeways and sprawl.
