Oh jeez I had a forehead smack moment earlier today. I lost my car in the parking lot - I went to where I thought I had parked it and IT WASN'T THERE. I wander up and down the structure, thinking maybe I was remembering the wrong floor, and eventually 20 minutes later I end up in the place I originally thought I was and there was my car staring me in the face *forehead smack*


Gee, think the stress and overwhelming workload is wearing on my fragile psyche? Nah, must be mercury retrograde ;)

At least it was there, and congrats on finding it. The worst time I ever lost my car (in an embarrassingly long line of car-losing experiences during my early adulthood), I spent three days scouring parking lots on- and off-campus, only to ultimately recall that I'd left it with the flashers on, in a no-stopping spot behind the dorm, while I ran in for just a second with some groceries for a social event I was in charge of. And then promptly forgot to go back and move it. Not only had it been towed (three days earlier), but the battery was dead, too, from the blinkers. Oops. I had to ask the campus cop who drove me to the tow lot for a jump.

Yeah, well, stevefava called me up to rescue him because he lost his car keys. When I arrived in the former merchimerch mobile, he had already found his keys . . . on the passenger seat of the VW.

Just one of those days, methinks.
