Wow - I am a phlegmy mess. I think I may have managed 3 hours of sleep last night in 1 hour chunks - no REM sleep to be had, so no healing to be had. It may be time to whip out some serious drugs, since I can't go on like this.
Add to that mess the fact that I'm teaching blues progression this morning (which is about as far from my areas of specialty as possible), and I am a self-pitying ball of whine and pout. Oh and sweaty - I have apparently transitioned to the sweating phase of this illness.
I have work to do - this is unacceptable. As a lecturer I have no sick days and my students have missed enough face time with me because of interviews and conferences (one of which is next week).
Oh and I didn't get a seat on the bus, so I was standing and coughing over the Sepulveda pass.
