it's a bad year for the arts... american musical theater here in san jose shut down last week very abruptly (announced on monday, had already laid everyone off the week prior, were fully closed by friday).

people just don't see the value anymore. the one show i've been to of amtsj, the theater wasn't even half full which made me sad (and it was cabaret!).
