I'm still drowning in exams, but R finally left yesterday night so hopefully I'll be better at getting things accomplished. It was very hard to have him leave - he was here for almost 3 weeks and I got very attached to the idea of having him around in my everyday life - I need to live with this boy.

After he left I watched Mona Lisa Smile with [livejournal.com profile] dcicuto while I graded the final for Psych of Film Music. I thought the movie started out really strong, but kind of chickened out in the end - it was a very Hollywood ending and I wanted a little more poignancy. I also think that they ascribed a lot of 21st century post modern thought onto 1950s people, but I didn't live in that era, maybe I'm just assuming that. Still a very fun movie - I'm glad I didn't live through that era of history, though I see a lot of similarity to the traditional family values that the mucky mucks in politics seem to be pushing for.

and now......a

What time do you get up? - 7am unless R is around, then it could be an hour or 2 later. But I'm doing very well at converting him to diurnal life

If you could eat lunch with one person, who would it be? Condeleeza Rice - I distrust her foreign policy so much, and she is so knowledgeable about the former Soviet Union - I want to know how those views and her knowledge set can possibly combine.

Favorite ice cream? Pear Sorbet from the gelato place on Abbot Kinney

Favorite sandwich? Roast beef and Swiss on a croissant

What characteristic do you despise? Self righteousness (we hate in others what we despise in ourselves)

Favorite flower? Iris

If you could go anywhere in the world on vacation, where would you go? Morocco, Argentina - they're in 2 continents I've never been to
