(no subject)

Sorry for the slow announcement, but R and I have a place, I've even paid for it for the summer. We moved down here on Fri night from the upstairs place that the landlord let us stay in until this became free and I've just now gotten connectivity.

Life is expensive here, especially when stretching one's stiped for 2....but the good news is that I've located the Big Lots, Dollar General, Value Villiage, and the Grocery Outlet, so things should be able to stretch. And they will get better when R starts getting a paycheck. He has 3 jobs to choose from at the mo, so I have faith that cash will start rolling in soon.

Uzbek is eating my brain, but for the most part it is in a good way. I've been musing on the politics and subjectivity of language teaching/acquisition, but I really don't have the umph to post about it....I have homework to do before class at 8 AM....rrrrgh. Who thought it would be fun to make Uzbek at 8 AM every single day.

I'm glad to hear that things are falling into place for you two. YAY for connectivity :).

Hopefully we will hear more from you two now.

Yay! I'm so happy that you're all moved in and stuff. We should ask R to get his own lj account so he can post about what he's doing and stuff- his initial impressions of Washington State and Uzbekistan would be really interesting.

How is Washington State? Is it beautiful? The closest I've ever made it to Washington State is Portland Oregon.

Miss you both!

well portland is darn close to Washington - it is really beautiful and feels like home. Both R and I talk about how fun it would be to live/raise kids here.

R is afraid of being sucked into LJ, but if you suggest it enticingly enough, maybe he'll go for it - I know my suggestions haven't had any effect.
