Happy birthday [livejournal.com profile] uzbekaemrys!!! I am robbing the cradle 1/3 less than I was yesterday! Here's hoping for many more happy years.

So today I have a humungous day of cooking and I managed to get the sniffles. I'm hoping it's allergy related and not an evil summer cold, but I'm having my doubts. None the less I will persevere with my hard core birthday cooking extravaganza (which will now be accompanied by a hand-washing extravaganza). I'm making pancakes with the first strawberries of the year for breakfast, then chocolate cake with caramel sauce, peanutbutter bars, and apple cobbler for the party that starts at 7:30. Luckily I made the dinner stuff last night, since tomato sauce improves if it sits a day, and gnocchi just sits in the freezer until it's ready to be boiled.

Woohoooo I love birthdays, especially when they're not mine!!!!

R and I were just talking about how much we were going to miss beltane this year (and took the opportunity to drop a donation to them via their new paypal account to support the celebration anyway). Hope you have a lovely time. We'll definitely have to try and get there when we get back to the country.
