1st day of school

So today was a long day of sorting out how 5 TAs are going to play the role of 1 professor for 500 undergraduates. But Rahvina is TAing with me and in my monday seminar, so that will be an upside to the semester.

I just got home from aerobics which had a very funny moment. A full room of sweaty stepping women all in synch were marching along to Britney Spear's "I'm a slave for you" song. With the class really personifying that spirit of conformity I had to giggle to myself.

bwahaha. I don't even know that song but it sounds too amusing.
Glad to hear that your friend is TAing with you. Happy 1st day back.

the sad thing is that I don't think most people appreciated the irony of that particular musical selection.

We did hammer through a bit, neh?

Should be a relatively fun quarter. Although you are free to rub my nose in that statement when I'm a messed up ball of stress due to the whole thesis thing. I think in some way, I might actually be eligible for a FLAS, and Sathya pointed out the Rotarian (or some variation on that spelling) Ambassadorial Scholarship thingie, so I did manage to find two grants that aren't past due. Didja happen to remember where that sexuality grant was? Or was that past due as well?

OK, bed time for me.

-hugs-

Sexuality grant was SSRC and past due but yearly - go to www.ssrc.org and go to fellowships and scroll down the list, I think sexuality was at the bottom
