Okay so maybe going to the translation seminar part of Uzbek class this afternoon wasn't such a great idea. Both of the works we analyzed today had to do with death. When the second one got passed around and it was all about a busy young man's regret for not having a picture taken with his mother before he died. Being a busy granddaughter I was having a difficult time with it and asked "another one about death? can we maybe pick another topic?" Everyone laughed like I'd made a joke and I ran crying from the room.
