my first hangover
Oct. 28th, 2002 05:41 pmSo I got back from the big ethnomusicology meeting yesterday and got to fly home with my very first ever hangover. But I got bumped off my first flight and got a free ticket, so that was good. Of course, it meant that I had to sit in airport seating for an extra hour in my disheveled state.
I must be getting old or something. But my body hurt for like 24 hours. The conference went well, and makes me realize that I am in the right field, because I felt very comfortable with most of the people attending. There were some really impressive papers given, which is exciting, though I feel a little overwhelmed.
The scenery was very beautiful, and makes me totally miss alaska. I have no idea why I am living in LA and I really have no idea how to make LA livable. I just really hope I can get a job somewhere green when this is all over.
