Jan. 5th, 2004 06:39 pmSo Bukhara was chaotic but beautiful - I got to see the shrine to the great sufi Nakhsbandi, and saw chor minor and the ark and pretty much everything - it was overwhelming and the train back was not quite as relaxing because there were 2 other men in our compartment and one of them gave me the creeps.
I got to hang out a little with Ilyos, one of malika's students who lives in bukhara, that was quite fun.
And today I bought a rubab and had a mega lesson and bought souveniers and I can't believe it but tomorrow I fly away.....There are so many people here that I am going to miss but I'm looking forward to seeing lots of people at home.
Did I mention that I have the best roommates ever? I was looking forward to seeing them even before D offered to sage my room before I came back, but that just kind of seals the deal - I really do have the best roommates ever.
