everything all at once

Wow jumping into the week on a Tuesday was ROUGH. It didn't help that I didn't get back from NoCal until 10:30 last night and did something weird to my neck this weekend. It hurts a lot - I am going to prostrate myself in front of my roommate and beg her to use her magic healing powers on my neck.

But it was worth it - this weekend was so lovely. I love R so much and we managed to have a remarkably low stress weekend camping. Annwfn was so beautiful and green green green. T and J were there and treated us to lovely cooking and conversation. It was raining brilliantly so we didn't get to do as much wandering as I would have liked, but that left us to stay indoors and keep warm - Ug make fire!

Today I started dealing with the red tape around going ABD at UCLA - my language stuff is being problematic because the UCLA Uzbek prof has decided not to write anything for me so he won't vouch for my skills. Luckily ACCELS will write me something. And my outside professor confirmed that he'll be on my committee which means I have 3 confirmed. Hopefully I will meet with Prof. S on Thursday and be able to finish that paper work.. I'm nervous, but once again my advisor insisted to me today that this is not going to be that bad. I really hope he's right.

so I finally heard what the problem is with the birth control prices at the UCLA clinic - they lost their clinic status as of Feb 1. Apparently they are no longer considered a "clinic" because they are not open to the public - just the 10s of thousands of UCLA students.

Frickin red tape beaurocratic nonsense.
