Mar. 22nd, 2004 10:08 amI'm still drowning in exams, but R finally left yesterday night so hopefully I'll be better at getting things accomplished. It was very hard to have him leave - he was here for almost 3 weeks and I got very attached to the idea of having him around in my everyday life - I need to live with this boy.
After he left I watched Mona Lisa Smile with
dcicuto while I graded the final for Psych of Film Music. I thought the movie started out really strong, but kind of chickened out in the end - it was a very Hollywood ending and I wanted a little more poignancy. I also think that they ascribed a lot of 21st century post modern thought onto 1950s people, but I didn't live in that era, maybe I'm just assuming that. Still a very fun movie - I'm glad I didn't live through that era of history, though I see a lot of similarity to the traditional family values that the mucky mucks in politics seem to be pushing for.
