(no subject)

oh my goodness - I just went into campus to get the free tax help. I brought in my plane tickets from my research in Uzbekistan, receipts, etc. None of it does any good - taking the standard deduction is what I have to do, and that means I cant itemize anything. Between state and federal taxes I have to write a check to my government for $400. How am I going to live this month?

And to make matters worse I'm sure my $400, in addition to the rest that was withheld by my employers, will be used to finance corporate cover ups, war profiteering, and more bombs for the people in Iraq and Afghanistan. UGH.
