Yesterday I had a really yukky rehearsal and the software I was supposed to teach wasn't on the computers in the lab so I had to teach a different version and it was not fun.

Then today I get up to a congratulatory email from the head of the ACCELS office in Tashkent, except he informs me that they are phasing out their visa support for scholars, so he won't be able to get visa for R and I - I have to do it on my own. This means more time and running around for me, and I'm worried it will fall through. Like I need one more thing to deal with. I just hope I can weasel my way around getting R a tourist visa - I'm hoping the institute will invite him as well.

Another reason why puzzle pirates is the most awesome game in the universe

Wow, I just cancelled my subscription to puzzle pirates because the payment would be taken out of my account on April 27, and I don't get paid until May 1. When they asked for the reason for canceling I wrote that I just had to cancel until I got paid in May. One of the devs emailed me afterward to say that he just gave me 3 weeks free to cover me until I got paid. That is so sweet!
