May. 19th, 2004 08:34 amWow, now I know why my advisor recommended that I not add a 5th person to my dissertation committee. I have tried to gather schedules for my 4 committee members to see if there is a possible 2 hour block where all are free to have my dissertation proposal defense. In the 10 day period from May 26-June 4, the only viable 2 hour block occurs on Friday, June 4th. And that is only taking into account 3 of the committee members. I just hope that the 4th member is willing to meet on the 4th.
One of the problems is that one of my members is a Dean, and her schedule seems exactly opposite to everyone else's schedule. I am kind of bummed because I had hoped to have this defense over a week earlier than seems possible.
