oh and I forgot - I made brunch plans for tomorrow with G, the Tatar woman who did research on Uzbek music institutions and works in Seattle - she seems so lovely - I think this will be a pleasant and mutually beneficial friendship.....jeez, I really AM a selfish careerist.
