Aug. 21st, 2004 07:42 amWow am I ever tired - woke up to the sound of our upstairs neighbor blowing his nose and coughing at 6 AM. I am trying to let R sleep at least until 8 - he was up packing long after I surrendered myself to the arms of Morpheus. I think the triple shot espresso coffee thing *and* the frappucino thing at about 7 :30 last night had something to do with R's nocturnal perkiness. All I had was a little cafe au lait and I was out like a light.
Everything (except the mattress and the computer) is pretty much already in the car. Hopefully we can be out of here by 9-930 and out of the city by 11 after a pleasant brunch.
I will miss Seattle, it has been really good to me. I am sure I will always remember it as my first home as a married person. Even though R and I have lived in a teeny basement apartment under the freeway, I think we both have done well here. It is a beautiful place and the people are very nice even if it does seem more homogenous ethnically than other cities. I am amazed at how quickly I made good friends here.
Well everyone, bon voyage to me - I will probably be off-line for the next 5 days unless they've started putting internet access into rest stops.
