Still procrastinating on that paper. Today is the day - I must get my crap together and get a draft out. It will be five pages of wanky interpretive text on cultural tolerance. I can do that. It doesn't have to be good, it has to be done.

Watched Matchstick Men last night - what a really wonderful film - totally enjoyed it and the hour-long making of the film extra. I don't think I've ever sat through and entire "making of...." film before, this was very well done and unprentensious

Okay - I'm on page 5 of 5 and just have a little more conclusion to write. I am stopping for a pringle break provided by my fabulous husband.

Compared to writing exams and articles, 10 minute conference papers/articles really aren't that hard.

This morning on the phone my Uzbek advisor here he asked me the same question that he always does before a deadline "Uspeyete vy?" Menaing "Will you get it done?" Something about the tone of the question always strikes me as so snarky. It's not like I've ever missed a deadline for these people and I feel a little funny when asked every time if I'm ready and will be able to succeed in giving the paper.
