Mar. 29th, 2005 08:21 amI remembered how to make gnochhi last night, which I hadn't done for a while. A french-canadian guy from St. Johns taught me how to make it the summer that I played in the Pierre Monteux Conducting School orchestra. I had one left over boiled potato from the dinner on Sunday and a bunch of tomatoes that were going off, so I made gnocchi and tomato sauce. I wish basil were in season, because I am really not a big fan of oregano based sauces. It turned out alright and our friend I came over last night. R took a turn for the worst and went to bed, so I and I (hee hee) stayed up and shot the breeze about the difficulties of applying for jobs from here and of the uncertainty about the future and funding and stuff. It wasn't exactly an action packed evening, but it was nice.
