Jun. 2nd, 2005 09:48 amwell it's not the good news I've been hoping and waiting for, but it is good news, and I'll take what I can get:
Dear Mrs. Merchimerch:
I am pleased to inform you that your paper, Teaching a Reinvented Musical
Past: Music History and Discourse in the Uzbek State Conservatory of Music,
has been accepted for the 2005 annual conference of the Central Eurasian
Studies Society at Boston University, September 29 – October 2, 2005. Your
paper is currently assigned to the panel The Humanities in Higher Education
(co-sponsored by AKHP). A preliminary program schedule will be published in
early July.
So does anyone know anyone in Boston who would be willing to take in a stressed out grad student for 3 days so that I can have a chance at furthering my career?
