woooooohooooo I finally got my birthday pie! And I had some for breakfast :)
The lemons came courtesy of Prof. H. who got them while playing ping pong at 2 more professors' houses. Apparently they have a glut of citrus at the moment. Lucky us. These were the lemons that finally got R motivated and I have been bathed in birthday pie goodness. Also he made it with graham cracker crust this time - definitely a good innovation.
(for those of you who don't remember, lemon meringue pie is one of the reasons I married my husband, and he promised to make me one for my birthday every year)
And to defend the procrastination of the hubby, we did get back in the US 2 days before my birthday and left to visit relatives the morning of my birthday; then we moved and then we set up house then there were conference and jobs and trips back east and stuff...
