Apr. 23rd, 2006 08:53 amR's birthday do on Friday was really nice. Not as many folks as we'd hoped could make it, but it was great to see ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
zhaneel69, J, H, and T. I don't know any of the real well, so it was nice to get a feel for a wider range of R's friends. It was all pretty low key and the cake didn't fail, so I call it success! I hope zhaneel and J find time to come back and visit soon :)
Yesterday we skipped the sacred harp sing in Berkeley in the interest of getting a little r&r, and got to have a leisurely breakfast with our guests and R and J played games. Then we went togroblek and kay_gmd's wedding, which was so lovely. The service was sweet, simple, and short. The bride and groom were both glowing, and it was wonderful to see/meet the folks from that crowd. I hope that the smiles of the happy couple from yesterday never leave their faces or their spirits.
