grrr argh

I missed a subbing job today because of a 10 minute shower. All but 5 of the schools in the district are on vacation now, making the odds of getting work very slim. I called in last night and early this morning to no avail. I decide that its not in the cards for me to day, call in available with Manpower, and start going about my daily routine. I hear the answering maching click on, figure it is R telling me when he'll be home tonight and don't bother racing out of the shower to check the machine. Silly me, the automatic phone system for the district called, wanting to give me work, but when I call the system back - say 3 minutes later - there is no work left in the system. I lose - that'll teach me to be hygenic.
