This list was part of a larger post made by the May Queen to the Annwfn listserv. It was description of a "time of intensification" by one of her dearests, and gave a list of things to do:

Meditate.

Don't play any games.

Trust, fully instead.

Be brave.

Be willing to own your shit.

Bless the Earth and love her.

Trust more.

Actualize your purpose every day.

Pray constantly, for yourself, the planet, and everyone.

One nice thing about having an upset tummy is that I end up reading and slowing down a bit.

I've been paging through Jack Kornfield's Meditation for Beginners , which deals with metta (loving kindness) meditation. I went to a yoga seminar on metta a few months back and this book was recommended. I can't say that I'm reading it linearly at the moment, but this paragraph just jumped out at me and I wanted to preserve it:

"There is a place in everyone that yearns to love, that longs to be safe, that wants to treat others and ourselves with respect. Sometimes that place is buried underneath layers of fear, old wounds, cynicism, and pain that we have used to protect ourselves from injury" (59).

That just sparkles with truth for me right now, and I need to bear it in mind *more* when I'm dealing with people whom I find to be challenging.

And those of you TCMers on my flist, can you remind me which herbal patent I'm supposed to take for GI issues and tummy troubles? I seem to be doing all right with plain yogurt and bed rest at the moment, but I want to get a bottle to bring with me to Central Asia.
