Oh it's stupid easy - peel and cut some apples, and put them in a sautee pan with some butter. Turn on a medium-high flame so that the butter melts and the apple starts exuding juices, then grate fresh ginger over top and shake on some cinnamon, stir, and cover. Cook until apples are soft, occasionally stirring so that one side doesn't burn.
