So Dennis Kucinich (Ohio Representative who has run for president) voted against the health care reform bill. Does anyone know why? I thought that he was for health care reform, so I'm wondering what stipulation it was that put him into the "no" pile.

Maybe he didn't want abortion stripped out? Maybe it wasn't strident enough for him?

It's not inclusive enough for Pete Stark, but he says he's old enough that he just sighs and keeps trying for next time, so he voted for it.

Lack of single-payer. He's actually quite pro-life, so I doubt the abortion amendment bothered him.

basically, he was against it because he felt it needed a lot more insurance industry reform to be meaningful. http://kucinich.house.gov/News/DocumentSingle.aspx?DocumentID=153995

The current version of a public option sucks, it does not cover ladyparts, it creates individual mandates to purchase (with jailtime possible for not purchasing from insurance thieves - what's not to love?
