I'm having some thoughts about tea stain/tannic acid on my teeth. I've decided that my teeth are significantly more yellow than they have been a few years ago, probably because when I live in the US I drink a lot of tea and when I live in Uzbekistan I drink nothing but tea (okay and I little vodka when I have to).
After a lovely dinner of sweet potato pancakes, spicy sausage, and cornbread with quince jam I made some tea for our tea and chocolate course of the meal. Before I poured the tea I wiped some tannin residue off the rim of my teapot and was thinking that this is exactly the nasty sticky brown stuff that is glued to my teeth - I wonder if there is REALLY anything I can do for it besides give up tea (which I WON'T do).
