merchimerchwoot! I am slowly plowing through all the stuff I need to accomplish before I leave the country. I got my article back from my advisor this weekend, tweaked it and just sent it off to the editor. I hope she likes it.
This is my first submission to a major ethnomusicology journal (Cahiers de Musocologie tradicionelles - or whatever the French is - it means the Journal of Traditional Music and is one of the major European ethno journals.) I'm nervous about being accepted/rejected. My old professor/dutar teacher is the editor and she asked me to submit, so hopefully the nepotism will follow through.
Wish me luck - I really want a job when I'm done with this degree, and I won't get it without big name publications.
