Wow, I'm not sure what to say. I'm scared about what today's election says about the make-up of our country. I think one of the major results of 9/11/01 was the rise in evangelical christianity in the US and fundamentalism in many areas of the globe.

I am frightened to think about the America that my children will grow up in. I remember getting flack from kids when I was a child/adolescent about being athiest/agnostic/pagan, I can't imagine what that flack would be like for my children.

My parents are seriously considering retiring to Canada. I think I may be looking for jobs in Canada and Europe more seriously. R and I LOVED Seattle - Vancouver or Victoria probably wouldn't be that different except for being under and administration that is less right-wing.

Even more frightening that Bush's victory are the ballot initiatives banning gay marriage and the massive Republican gains in congress. All I can say is that if I do end up with a job in the US I will be entering politics. Thats right folks, Merchimerch for state-senate/the school board in 2012!

I'm thinking sweden.

No I wish I had stayed registered in Ohio, rather than switch to MI. Maybe my vote would push the whole thing over to Kerry.

sigh..now we just have to hope!
