merchimerchJust back from Samarqand, it was quite an experience. The monuments were amazing and our accreditation saved us about $4.50 on entrance fees to every monument and sight we saw. R took pictures with our dig. camera - I should figure out how to upload them.
I am so glad to be in my warm apartment, with my privacy and my internet connection, and most importantly - not having to respond to anyone's "oling" . (oling means "take" and is the favorite food pushing phrase).
R and I have now been married for half a year. Some how spending 5 hours of or six-month anniversary practically in his lap in the back of a very crowded taxi on the bumpy road home from Samarqand was not my idea of the perfect romantic evening, but it was certainly unqiue and I wouldn't have preferred it any other way.
Maybe tomorrow we'll have turkish food and lots of nookie....for now I'm gonna crash.
