(no subject)

Oy, sometimes students amaze me. As someone who panics about her own writing ability, I extended the offer to the class that I TA to read a rough draft of their paper if they get it to me by 5 PM on friday. I got 2 very well written papers by then, read them and offered suggestions. This morning (Sunday, quite blatantly not FRIDAY), I get two more papers in my inbox with requests to please read them. What part of friday dont they understand? Also do they get away with this with other teachers/in other non-school settings? What kind of responsible citizens are we breeding that don't pay attention to deadlines, and for that matter who can't managed to come up with 4 double spaced pages to describe an event? yikes.
