Mar. 14th, 2004 10:21 pmWell this week I certainly got out....I went to
shaktiqueen's birthday bash which was low key and nice, and had lots of folks I met last week at
purplespark's last weekend. I think R has a bit more of a picture of what my social circle is when I actually choose to be social :)
And this afternoon my roommates held a hookah brunch - I brought bagels and lox and it was a nice time even if the people that showed up were not who I expected. Neighbor J who is not a neighbor anymore showed up with carrot cake and there was much alcohol and smokables to be had. I especially liked the taste of the apricot shisha washed down with champagne, though pure for smoking taste I thought the herbal mugwort and mint and stuff and stuff was the best tasting. But I'm really not one for tobacco so my bias is pretty extreme.
I got some work done this weekend - I don't like writing lecture outlines - it feels stupid and pointless because it is usually something I do the night before. It feels especially pointless for the Music Appreciation syllabus I'm building because I'm basically outlining the book because I am too tired to do much else. I can't believe it will all be done in the next 2 weeks - yikes!
