So I just got an email from the fulbright advisor telling me that fulbright is out of money at the moment, but may get more, so because I didn't have a marriage license on file before they ran out of money I'm now stuck on a waiting list. Or rather I am going to be put on a waiting list after I file a copy of my marriage license, which I just Rush ordered, but can't have until 3 weeks after my marriage (this coming Saturday).
To clarify, I will still get funding for myself - it is funding for R that is now hanging in doubt. And we still need visas, and my scanning attempts to get all documents for the visa application fell through today, the file was too big and I didn't have time to fix it.
This is all making me very sad - getting to Uzbekistan really shouldn't be that hard - they want Americans there to spend their monies and do fascinating research which will publicize the glory of Uzbekistan, and I am well prepared (or will be if the funding comes through) to do both.
I am really trying to believe that this is just the Universe telling me that I have to WORK for what I want, but I am feeling very discouraged.
What happens if the Uzbek plans and funding fall through? What will I do?
