Jan. 2nd, 2005 07:10 pmeeew - make that 4 mayonnaise filled days. I think now we're just getting leftovers that no one wants to eat, so they subject guests to them.
Poor R is feeling sicko and I really blame all the mayo. Well the mayo and the fish. It turns out that it is not just the 7 layer salad that sometimes has solyanka (salted fish) in it. We went to visit Viloyat Akilova, a famous dancer who taught one of my friends in LA, and she fed us 2 salads, both with plenty of mayo and both had the scary salted fish in them. There was no way to avoid it, because that was all that there was on the table. Well besides the lovely apple cobbler that I brought. Seems like a crappy trade to me - I bring homemade cobbler goodness and get fed salted fish and mayo salad.
Hopefully tomorrow will truly be a mayo free day. Well actually hopefully the next month will be mayo free, but realistically I'm taking it one day at a time.
