Jan. 9th, 2005 12:42 pmhee hee! Last night R brough me home a prezzie from the new Turkish supermarket - a huge chocolate egg with "Magic Garri" and harry potter-esque illustrations drawn on the on the tinfoil wrapper.
It is such a hilarious Harry Potter knock off - Magic Garri is written in 2 different scripts - Magic is in latin script (i.e. English letters) and Garri is written in cyrillic. The silly thing is that I didn't even pick that up the first time I looked at the because they're all in the same stylized font.....I'm far too accustomed to the mix of texts here I guess.
Anyhow, inside the magic chocolate egg is a poorly formed figure of a boy with brown hair and black robes with an owl on his arms. This must be Magic Garri! Magic Garri has a few difference from Harry Potter, no glasses, no scar....it is still just too funny.
