answering machine SNAFU

My answering machine went kaput at somepoint yesterday and I couldn't retreive messages. I managed to get it working again, but it ate ALL the messages without letting me know what they were or telling me how many. If you called me yesterday, please email me or call me again, so I can know what's going on.
