beard papa sweets cafe
May. 29th, 2007 07:52 pmI had lunch at the Japanese curry place on Sun. that is on Sawtelle near Olympic. In the same shopping center I saw the name of an establishment that was so compelling that I just had to go in - it was the "Beard Papa Sweets Cafe," and the sign included of course a guy with a beard (who is presumably a papa). Inside I saw that it is a bakery cafe thing, but it's primary output is what they claim as "the worlds best cream puffs."
So of course I had to have one.
And they have FLAVORS :) Chocolate and Vanilla are the normal ones, but Sun. and Mon.'s special flavor was green tea. So of course I had to have a green tea flavored cream puff. And it was good, the cream was VERY green tea-y.

bellebonnesage, any chance you want to do a Thurs. sushi lunch at some point and top things off with beard papa cream puffs? Thursday is caramel day, and I just can't get it out of my head.
