yay for old friends!

nonseqmenagerie and dannonsarisa in North Creek, NY today and it was wonderful! I introduced them to my Bosnian, we had lunch and GIANT ice cream sundaes in mixing bowls with my parents and then wobbled around the shoppies in North Creek. I indulged in a bit of shopping, including balsa wood gliders that I remember from childhood and still enjoy flinging around my parents' house.
Finally we settled down in a little cafe for unchaperoned chatting, and it was just so wonderful to reconnect with them. It is so wonderful to have friends with whom it is easy and comfortable to chat with, even when it has been a year or so since we've seen each other.
Huzzah!
And I fly home tomorrow. Happy New Year to all, if I don't post before then.
