Well the weather here might be erratic, but it's seeming fairly predicatble.
This is now the 3rd time I've seen a few warm days interrupted by a big dusty windstorm that ushers in cold rainy (or snowy) weather. The changes happen so fast and are so violent, but it does follow a pattern.
We had been having a few days of very pleasant warm weather (70s mostly). All of a sudden yesterday afternoon around 2pm the sky started darkening and it was like we could see the dust start spreading over the old city (where our windows face). By now R and I knew to read that sign and start locking down the windows - sure enough, within 5 minutes the wind had picked up and was howling through our drafty apartment. Plastic bags and debris were whipping up in the air above our 7th floor windows and the birds were clinging to our satellite dish for dear life. Within 20 minutes it was over and the air was palpably cooler (and dustier). Sometimes last night it started raining and should rain for most of the day (maybe tomorrow too). Then hopefully it will clear up again and the cycle will renew itself.
