teaching possibilities

It turns out that my fellowship will let me teach 25% while I'm writing my dissertation. That basically means that I can teach one class at a community college as an adjunct. R and I are planning to move to Sacremento when we get back to the states and I'd like to start sending my resume out probably as soon as we get back. Do any of you in LJ land have connections with heads of music departments in colleges in the Sac/Davis area? (I'm looking at you msh) I might be willing to commute into Livermore if the class schedule is right. If any of you guys have any bright ideas of where to start hawking my skills, I'd appreciate the help.
Oh and I did this too:

Mary Campbell
Las Positas College
(925) 424-1000 (phone tree will direct you to Mary)
Mary is a long-time member of the music staff at Las Positas College. I don't know if she's currently the head of the department, but she has been previously. This woman is organized and classy. She was a good friend to me while I was there; she's very knowledgeable and will probably be able to provide you with some ideas.
At Las Positas, see also: Jim Heiner, but mostly for the experience of talking with him. =)
Rob Lappa
Camerata Music
(925) 828-1011
Rob Lappa is a long-time friend of mine. He runs the only local store that sells primarily choral and piano music. As such, he's in contact with many people, and he might be able to get you some contacts. The power of networking is with him.
Good luck!
