Dushanbe has been treating us really well. The Shashmaqom Academy here is absolutely stellar. We are staying with Malika opa's relative outside the city and the are treating us very well. We could tell that we passed the 3 day line where you're no longer considered a guest - this morning's breakfast was day old bread and weak tea rather than kasha or palov or some other thing, and when we left there wasn't a family gathering at the doorway telling us to be healthy, go well, be safe and happy, etc. All in all I really like loosing the force-fed guest status.

Looks like we'll even make the forth of july picnic here in Dushanbe (which is not on the 4th of July).
