I'm back from LA and now trying to hussle together temp work and such to get me through the end of August. With my teaching for next year and the pay from the world music institute, we will be scaping by on credit card debt if both R and I don't find a little extra income. It is such a pain when I know I can't ethically take a permanent job - I can always teach piano, get a church gig on the organ, etc., but I can't do that for 2 months and then leave, so things get more complicated. Anyone have any fabulous ideas about getting summer work besides temp agencies?
Last night R and I finished watching Firefly (courtesy of
nisaa) and loved it. We'll probably be renting Serenity very soon. What a great series and what a shame Fox let it drop before so much of the story was told.
We also recently finished season 1 of Veronica Mars (courtesy of my sister-in-law) - that is also a great show and I'm pleased to see that the UPN/WB merger hasn't resulted in cancellation for it.
