big day

So yesterday was a big day.

I gave blood and learned that my blood pressure is down to 114/70. I think graduating has done wonders for my stress levels. They gave me a coupon for Baskin Robbins as a reward for donating, so that I can start working on jacking that blood pressure back up ;)

I got my tattoo outlined. I am celebrating finishing my degree and moving on to a new phase of my life - it's not a big one, but my neighbor is a tattoo artist and wanted to wait for the outline to heal so he can touch it up and shade later. Should be awesome, though I can't see it since it's in the small of my back

I cut 19 inches off my hair. There is now a 19" ponytail in an envelope ready to wing its way to Locks of Love. I thought I was going to take less off (the minimum to donate is 10"), but then I read the website, saying that they make wigs for girls most often and that they want long hair. Hopefully it will give some chronically ill little girl the dishwater blond pigtails I always wanted as a child, but my mom wouldn't let me have.

So I feel like a renewed human - I even pulled out an Indigo Girls CD to celebrate and get a bit nostalgic. I haven't had hair this short since I lived in Baltimore - I also lived there when I got my first tat and gave blood for the first time. It feels pretty good, so hopefully I'm moving in the right direction.

Wow! A tattoo outline and a big haircut. All in one day! That's a way to celebrate the full moon ;)

Do you want anything from PA?

Yeah a really big day - it was fun.

If you find a peanut butter chocolate gob in your travels, it would be WELL appreciated.

Hope you're having fun!

It's brushing my shoulders - still stick-straight, dishwater blonde, and cut in a straight line across the bottom - nothing too exciting or hard to take care of, but it makes me feel all light and sassy with the years of weight and worry shorn off.
