I just had the best day - the Bosnian and I are both feeling so relaxed and recharged, it's silly.
We started the day with a 9 a.m. yoga class, the Bosnian's first EVAR. He did great and enjoyed it and thinks that it helped his back and muscles in general. Then we had tofu scramble and split a whole wheat bagel with cream cheese and heirloom tomato for breakfast. Then there was a NAP. It was GOOD.
We spent an hour at the Tea House Spa in downtown SC, nice and private with a jacuzzi room with a sauna that had a window opening into the bamboo garden. It was delicious and rejuvenating, but next time we need to ask for a 15 minute warning rather than a 10 minute one, since we were getting chased out at the end.
Then there were more naps and dinner of left overs and roasted brussel sprouts and PIRAAT beer, which is truly amazing. Then there were back rubs and he just left to go back over the hill.
I am meeting with a student to mentor him on the job market and then I get to decide if I feel like driving over the hill since I'm usually in SJ on Tues. nights. Not sure, but I do feel wonderful about life, the universe, my career, and everything. Amazing what a difference a day makes.
Also, the Bosnian and I want to attend the SJ prop 8 protest on Saturday morning, and are wondering about carpool - anyone else up for it? (I'm looking at you
