(no subject)

Last night was not productive in terms of exams. I think I had a lot of emotions surface as a result of the acupuncture (which was so good!). From 9 o'clock on I needed to lie foetal on the couch and watch TV.

But I got up this morning and started the last of my lectures - I now have my final 9 in various states of preparedness. I at least have my bibliographies and recordings set up. I hope to finish it tonight and turn it in. Then tomorrow morning I dive into the take home exam on the History and Theory of Ethnomusicology. The prof giving it to me has been kind of AWOL (for good reasons)and I hope all goes well. That leaves monday and tuesday for dissertation editing and Silk Road revision. I still think I can make it by wednesday.

Taking an issue of your choice, create research paradigms using the
following three theoretical models: 1) Reconstructionism; 2) Post
colonialism; and 3) Feminist Theory.

Include bibliographic references and citations as needed. I expect a
minimum of three pages of text for each paradigm.

Please have your exam completed and returned to me, via e-mail
attachment, by Monday, May 10th, at 1pm.

Wow I am amazed that the prof only wants a minimum of 3 pages per topic (which means I'll aim for 5). All of my project exams have been 30-40 pages. All of you with TGIF spirits high, wish me luck and send me good exam energy.

Tee hee! My former roomie just emailed me that she has immortalized me in her dissertation proposal bibliography. I've seen it --my name in lights....errrr text.

Also, current roomie D brought home Bertie Bots Every Flavour Beans from New Orleans - I had Booger which was gross, Sardine and Earthworm which were both kinda gross but not too bad and Soap which was actually kinda good. They do have flavors like green apple, cinnamon, and lemon drop so you can de-grossify.
